John A. Reed purchased the Jeremiah Driscoll farm adjoining the farm of his father, Albert Reed, to the south. Both farms had a cobblestone house (Man-12 Albert Reed House). John worked along with his father on his father's farm in addition to working his own farm. Over time John's two sons, John and Jim, followed in their grandfather's and father's footsteps in the management and operation of the combined farm, forming the Reed Land Partnership in 1995. Today they are the 5th generation owners of the "Reedland Farms, LLC". Their children, the 6th generation, now work alongside them in all facets of working and managing the farm.
John Reed, Sr. lived until 2005, at age 79. The cobblestone house is part of the Reedland Farms, LLC and is still owned by the Reed family. Karen Crandall email 7/12/2021.
